I wasn’t expecting the power of love from a stranger right here in a huge ballroom at 10 on a Thursday morning. Yet, there I was, sitting literally hip to hip with the person next to me, entranced and bonded there for the next 9 hours. So close, so intimate. This person was completely unknown to me before this moment. Yet, I was guided here by some unseen force to a destiny for both of us that I am sure has changed our lives forever. The power of love to serve others in that room for the 4 days was palpable and that IS ALL that matters. It didn’t matter where we came from, or what we looked liked, our backgrounds, how old we were or what our dreams were. We all had a shared common experience and purpose of vision and destiny that is undeniable and incredibly moving.
Where is this magical place that has so changed my life that there is no going back? It was Santa Clara, California at Experts Academy Training with Brendon Burchard. The experience was more than I could have asked or expected to ever be blessed with. I met the most amazing people whom I will call friends and colleagues forever. What we all learned, felt and created together was something magical. We danced, we hugged, we sang, we worked, we talked, we were present and in the moment with each other in ways that people just do not do in business enough or much at all. We were there for each other in authentic, nurturing and loving ways that made lasting impressions on not only our businesses but on each other in deep ways as well. Truly, the power of love that serves others, it doesn’t matter how, is the highest calling. There can be no doubt about that.
The most important change was the shift in my thinking about what was possible in my life to achieve if I can just conquer my biggest competition, that one last thing in business that I have yet to figure out…my own self imposed limitations on myself. My negative thinking of myself is my biggest enemy as it is with many of us. I can figure out a business’ problems all day long with total confidence, but force me to put myself out there and really expose myself….ahhh, no thanks. Before I lost 130 pounds a few years ago, putting myself out there was just not an option. Being heavy for so long, it became a habit.
But, over the last few months and all I have done and have learned has brought me to this past glorious weekend that I shall never forget. I have gained not only a network of business colleagues, new friends, a wealth of amazing new knowledge to leverage in my business, inspiration, a full heart but most importantly I have gained the confidence in knowing that I can conquer anything, including my own negative self talk in order that I can serve others. I will get out of my own way to reach the people that need my help. It’s not about me or whether people like me. What it’s about it is offering what I have to those that need it so that they might find success in business. And if I might inspire them in life in some small way, then my purpose and vision has been more than met.
Much Love & Success,
Michelle
